According to Yuji Ogasawara of the R&D Division's Product Development Department, "One of the main features of the new E-Series is the advanced Live View function.
Live View displays the same image as the viewfinder on an LCD monitor on the rear panel. The first digital SLR to have this feature was the E-330.
"Now Live View is full-time, meaning that the image is displayed permanently on the LCD monitor without any time limitations.
"One of the big advantages of Live View is that it lets you see what your image will look like before you actually take the picture. Being able to capture and record images as intended is something creative photographers - whether they are professionals or amateurs - will definitely appreciate.
"All of the new E-Series models will incorporate Live View.
"Live View will change the way people take pictures with digital SLRs.
No more peering through the viewfinder, now you can check it on the LCD monitor. I have no doubt that Live View will expand the possibilities for photo expression," said Mr. Ogasawara, his eyes bright with enthusiasm.
